My bio

Headshot_Square.jpg

I have a degree in political science from the University of Central Arkansas. I have a master's degree in media and public affairs from the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University. I was an associate editor at the Arkansas Times from 2008 to 2011. I was the director of communications for Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families from 2012 to 2016. I'm a freelance producer, videographer, photographer, and social media consultant. I also fancy myself a food writer, a musician, and a book lover. I have travelled extensively in France and am a fluent French speaker. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and doing most everything with my wife, Stephanie. We have two lovely mutts: Rosie and Doobie.

My mission

My mission is to create videos that help small businesses and nonprofits tell their story in a way that’s compelling, honest, and vital so they can reach new audiences and achieve their strategic goals.

What makes me different?

My background is in journalism and strategic communication. I know how to get to the heart of an issue and tell stories in a compelling way. If you tell me your goals, your audience, and your call to action, I’ll take care of creating a story that executes your vision. We will figure out the details together and I’ll take it from there. Anyone can point a camera at something. I take on the role of producer, helping you find and piece together all the elements that are going to make a great video. You tell me what you need and I run with it.

What I do

I'm a videographer. I'm a writer. I'm a photographer. At the heart of all of that, really, is storytelling. I like showing and telling people about things they might not know about: food, music, culture, and the lives of every-day people. I'm based in Little Rock, but I work all over the entire state of Arkansas, and beyond (will travel).
